Toni discovers John Lloyd
Toni Gonzaga has only good words for her first-time leading man John Lloyd Cruz. They’re presently shooting My Amnesia Girl under Star Cinema.
“Now I understand why he is considered one of the best actors in his generation. He brings out the best in you. He’s not selfish in sharing his emotions with his leading ladies. His excellent acting prowess is infectious.
“It’s my first time to work with him. He’s very meticulous when it comes to character development. He studies the role so well in order to give an accurate portrayal. Honestly, I’m learning a lot from him. This is really a wonderful experience!”
According to the talented host-actress, at first, she couldn’t believe that she’d be doing a movie with John Lloyd.
“When management told me that I’d star opposite him in this movie, it didn’t sink in right away. It was just after a few days since we began shooting that I realized it was true! So I started to condition myself and gradually became at ease on the set.”
Asked if she’s under pressure regarding the movie’s box-office performance since Lloydie has an outstanding record at the tills, Toni avers, “Had I considered it then, I wouldn’t end up filming the project. It’s really a big risk. But this is something I leave up to God. He knows what’s best. Anyway, I have faith in the material. I just want to enjoy the film.”

Synopsis
Starring John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga
In this heartwarming story about second chances and making things right, how much of one’s past is worth remembering? How much is worth forgetting?
When Apollo finds himself surrounded by friends who are beginning to settle down, he is faced with the possibility of finding his true love. It all boils down to one name: Irene. It must be fate then, when he once again sees Irene, his ex-girlfriend from three years ago with whom he had the best memories with. Apollo and Irene were a perfect couple until circumstances led them to fall apart.
Now, Irene has no recollection of Apollo, having acquired amnesia shortly after their separation. Apollo sees this as the perfect opportunity to pursue Irene again, and be able to undo all the mistakes he made in the past, by offering Irene the best memories she could ever have.
True love is difficult to resist, they learn. Just when they find themselves ready to commit to each other, the pains from the past catch up with them, challenging them to finally own up to the mistakes made and lies said, and eventually realize what it is to forgive and forget.

Toni Gonzaga thankful to be paired with John Lloyd Cruz in Star Cinema's My Amnesia Girl
Toni Gonzaga‘s star continues to shine its brightest this year because not only does she have a jampacked schedule filled with television and movie projects, but she is also reaping nominations from various award giving bodies in the industry.
Just recently, Toni was named as nominee in the upcoming PMPC Star Awards for TV in the categories best female showbiz-oriented host for E-Live, best female TV host for ASAP XV, and best reality program host for PBB Double Up.
“Nakakainspire talaga kapag napapansin ka o yung ginagawa mo. Sa halip na ma-pressure ay mas nagpupursige ako sa trabaho ko,” said Toni.
The host-actress is currently busy on her weekly shows “The Buzz” and “ASAP XV” and on her first ever movie with John Lloyd Cruz titled “My Amnesia Girl” to be released soon by Star Cinema.
“Thankful at grateful ako na may trabaho na available para sa akin. Napakalaking honor na ma-consider ka sa show so do your best and prove to everyone that you deserve the opportunity that was given to you.”
Toni also continuosly tapes for her top-rating primetime fantaserye with a heart “Kokey@Ako” which heats up even more this week.
Jackie (Toni) still finds ways to prove to her grandmother Madam Barbara (Gloria Romero) that she is the real Princess and not Lois (Wendy Valdez).
Josa (Melai Cantiveros), on the other hand, discovers Belat’s true identity while the kukurikabukans also discover the real identity of Princess in Jackie. But despite this, why are the aliens after Kekay instead of Jackie? What do they intend to do with Kokey’s younger sister?
